The smoky eye is fall’s number one beauty trend. On the runways, we can see everything from glam rock gray to smoldering sexy color.

Smoky Eye MakeupTo achieve that smoky eye look, you want to make sure that you do your eyes first. You don’t need a full face of makeup when you’re wearing smoky eyes.

One of our favorite looks is actually showing the smoky eye with a little bit of color. So using colors like browns, violets, and blues can achieve that sexy smoldering look without as much black. We’re also seeing smoky in a different way. It could be smoky in a colorful way or smoky in a traditional way. You can also do a light smoky or dark smoky eye.

With this type of look, you start with giving the eyes the deepest color then blend up in your eyelids. Then you take it under, this look is supposed to be sexy. It’s an undone kind of look.

Go in the inside of the eye with an eye pencil, this gives the smoky eye a little more richness and depth. With the pencil, get both corners of the eye. So really, a smudge pot and a black pencil is all you need to achieve the smoky eye.

Over the entire lid, place a light color then take the darker shadow and work that into the crease of the eye. Keep the dark shade against the lashes, in the crease, and extending it out.

So you’ll be working with two colors basically. It’s very simple. Underneath the same thing, you could use the darker shadow and apply it along the base of the eyelash. Then you would just finish with a coat of mascara.

So, now you can score this smoldering smoky eye look yourself.
